I'm so glad that I found Rich and Grey Matter Technical services! I decided to make another attempt to bring back to life a not too old laptop that was rendered inoperable by an automated Microsoft OS update...that another technical service was unable to resolve. I did not want use a big box store service and relied on a yelp search and reviews to try out GMT..

I'm lucky to have found someone so honest and trustworthy, also offering reasonable fees.

Best laptop repair service! And best price! I can't say enough good things about Rich (owner of the business). I had a little accident and spilled water all over my laptop and it wouldn't turn on anymore. Rich said he could repair my laptop by replacing some parts and recover all the data or he gave me the other option to buy another brand new laptop and he would transfer all the data for me. I decided to buy a new laptop as my laptop was very dated. Rich then gave me various laptop brand suggestions with different specs that would fit my needs. He spent many hours discussing different options for laptops without even charging me! He's very responsive and does thorough research on alternative options for you so that you can save money! He did not make any profit from all the suggestions he gave. He only charged me for the service and parts! You need to contact Rich next time you have issues with your laptop!

Rich fixed my ancient T520 thinkpad laptop when the fan motor died - locating and ordering the necessary arts. A few months later, I asked him his advice for purchasing a new laptop essentially out of the blue. A friend of mine had told me to get one of two very high-end models; he very carefully talked me though exactly how I used my laptop - including thinking about keyboard configurations and temperature concerns I hadn't considered. I realized that the video capabilities could actually be a detriment for me, and looked into additional models. I made a smarter decision and saved money!

This was one of several places I contacted regarding my Dell laptop problem. Although I ultimately was able to correct the malfunction myself (blue screen of death), Richard was a tremendous help and even offered some free advice on how to analyze and solve the problem. It was a real pleasure to communicate with him. I would have no qualms about contacting him again in the future should the need arise and would highly recommend him to friends. 5-stars for sure!

So I bought a new monitor, should've been a plug and play situation but sadly I plugged and monitor couldn't detect a signal from my computer. Called the manufacturer, spent over an hour talking to a rep and, in the end, we concluded that it's not the monitor but my desktop's HDMI port that's the issue.

So I decide to call around local computer repair shops and Rich at Grey Matter Tech Services picked up. He told me that unfortunately he's only working on laptop sized computers. However, he asked what my issue was and within about 2 sentences he had it figured out. Texted him a few pics of the back of my computer, he told me what to do right over the phone and now my monitor's working as intended.

Rich is super knowledgeable, friendly and patient. He really wants to help people out. Totally recommend his services!
